About us

Kids

The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Greensboro is to make a positive difference in the lives of children and youth, primarily through a professionally-supported One-to-One relationship with a caring adult, and to assist them in achieving their highest potential as they grow to become confident, competent, and caring individuals.

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board is a group of dedicated community volunteers committed to helping the staff of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Greensboro serve more children and provide positive educational and recreational experiences for our matches.

Members of the Big Brothers Big Sisters staff provide new Advisory Board member orientations. Each member makes a commitment to attend required meetings and to serve on the board for at least one year. The Executive Committee consists of a President, Vice President and Secretary. There are four standing committees and a special ad hoc committee to address our need for African American male volunteers. Advisory Board members are invited to select the committee that interests them most.
